So while roaming through ebay i stumbled across a reproduction fender extension for the 77-79's thats made in Taiwan. Odd but i guess its good someone is making reproductions of our car parts? http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVROLET-CAPRICE-IMPALA-REAR-QUARTER-PANEL-EXTENSION-1977-79-RH-9636434-/261392596951?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cdc367fd7&vxp=mtr

Re: Fender Extension
Excellent find! It's about time somebody started doing repros of these!
Be careful though... in the ad it says 77-79 but their picture is of one for a 79 only.
If anyone's planning on buying one for a 77 or 78, I'd check with them to make sure they have the proper one.
Here's their pic -
Notice how the bottom is slanted?
Here's one from a 77 -
See how it's curved at the bottom? 78s are too.
I'm betting the manufacturer doesn't know there's a difference.

Re: Fender Extension
Yep, the '79 Caprice is a one year only car for the front and rear design. Even the '79 Impala is different. That's a cool find and I wonder how many more parts are or were made that we don't know about. I'd still like to find those '79 front bumper turn signals that these sellers on ebay have an aftermarket picture of but are selling 80-90 lamps. The picture came from somewhere...
