Hey guys im just putting the finishing touches on my 95 impala ss swap and getting everything ready for a plug and play install
Gone thru the rear new seals, lockpin c clips and fluid also new mounting hardware, rotors, overhauled calipers and brake lines
Ive started to replace the ujoints on my drive shaft but the fitting won't take the grease
It's one of those flush mount type that's like a dish with the little check ball in the middle
I leave it backed out a little to get the grease gun to bite but the grease just comes out the thread and doesn't fill
Went to oreillys for a fittting with a cone shaped rubber tip and it squirts out the sides or the rubber tip where the rubber meets the coupler
I already put the other u joint (moog) and greased it it had the nipple type and. Worked no problem
I might just buy a new u joint cause this is getting me a upset

if i were you, id just get the regular non greasable ones. When i did that swap last year, i took my driveshaft to a driveshaft shop to have it shortened and the guy said i didnt need new u joints, i told him to replace them if needed, but they are the original ones from 79 non greasable and they are still holding up fine. Im gonna see how much abuse they can handle with the new heads and all this bolt on power lol. But anyways up to you, the non greasable ones are structurally stronger since theres no path for the grease to flow through.

I was thinking about that but when I bought em I thought the greaseable ones be better cause their serviceable
Went to O'Reilly and got a pin type grease fitting with a long skin tube with the tip coming to a point and the very tip I flat to push the ball down
With firm straight pressure it took the grease and is more fluid now
Now got everything ready for the swap but the rims but just gonna grab steelies off a 90's 1/2 ton pickup. also waiting on speed bleeders from summit racing, I ordered the wrong size and sent it back but its taking forever.
But when I get those its just a bottle of brake fluid and a half a day

It's a matter of opinion whether to grease or not to grease I bought the HD Spicer greaseables and have in the

past never had an issue but I grease every 4-5 Mos just to be sure. Non grease OEM style are great for OEM

applications where you don't want to grease. Some are HD, some aren't just like greaseables. I steer clear of

them because of the cheap NoNs(Chinese) I have had go bad. The HD spicer I buy are cheap at NAPA and Made

in the USA.( I paid 7 dollars each in store)

What are the 90s 1/2 ton wheels other than 5x5?

    Just plain steel wheels
Don't trust those.spacers so ill get some 5*5 pattern rims
Also seen 94 caprice in the yard those are 5*5 too so might get those

I am using spacers myself but I do have a set of 15x7 off a Caprice I may use if there are issues

with the spacer haven't noticed anything though.
