Went radical with your cam and now you have no low end vacuum for your brakes?
Want to upgrade your existing brake system?
Just want to be different? It's time for Hydroboost.
Hydroboost replaces the vacuum operated power brake booster with a unit that runs off the power steering pump and puts out around 2000 psi of pressure vs. vacuum brakes' 900 psi.
Starting in 1980 GM started offering diesel engines in their B-bodies, both sedan and wagons, and they all had the Hydroboost system on them.
As can be seen in the following articles there are many other vehicles that used it too, but B-body to B-body should be a direct bolt in with no mods and would truly be a "Factory fit".
