Before buying the 77 Aerocoupe, I have been working on modding the hell out of this 96 Caprice B4U package:

Smoothie bumpers, SS grill, wheel moulding delete, antenna delete, trunk key delete being prepped for 2 tone paint

NICE! I'm loving the wheels. How wide are they now?

Finally got the busted fuel lines replaced and took the car out for a cruise last Friday.  That was short lived as the shift cable stopped working and I had to limp it home 5 miles in 1st gear.

My buddy came over today to help troubleshoot and we found the problem was at the console side; we had to re-secure the mount for the cable where it passes through the floorboard, and now shifter works as it should.

This coming weekend I'll be bringing it out for Phoenix bi-annual Cruise on Central.  Also supposed to meet up with a FB friend that has a 96 pro-street Impala.

Thanks!  There's a list of little things that need to be taken care of, but for now I'm just enjoying driving the damn thing; I have about 2 total hours behind the wheel this year and that's a damn shame.

We're moving to a new house in February which has plenty of work space for me to clear the to-do list on the sedan get started on the coupe.

I keep going back to stare at your 9c1 wheels, lol.  They're FANTASTIC!!!

I'm curious.... did you do all the measurements and tell the shop what you wanted or leave it up to the shop to figure out correct back spacing, offset, etc. so they wouldn't rub?

I bought them used off craigslist from a guy who had slicks on them for when he took his Impala to the track.

If memory serves I believe the centers were cut out and placed into new hoop, the measurements must have been precise because it fits like a glove in the wheel well.

That is a slick ride right there. Love the wheels! There was a time I wanted to take one of those or a Roadmaster and build a 2-door out of it since GM decided not to. I still might one of these days.

Thanks!  I get the most questions and compliments on the wheels.

A coupe would have been nice in the 90's.  I've seen some custom ones like the TBird conversion or body chops, lot of fabrication to pull it off.
