Tree front sway bar had to be removed to ytransfer weight faster..Then had to put 3 way adjustable Comp Enginer shocks on all 4 corners..Then dialing in the shocks.Oh man I dont want to recall the headaches to get things right..It was worth it with the Drag Radials learned a lot about what my suspenion wanted to make the tire work..Now back to bias ply's..6 passes on some fresh MT street slicks 28x11.5 15's.
I wanted to run the D/R's once again..What made me go to the bias ply street slick my home track does very little track prep..I was chaseing my tail a majority of the time at the track trying to get the radials to hook..I came to conclusion..If the track prep is not there suspenion, tire air pressure is not correct things wont happen..Had to check tire psi constantly after each pass..Most times had to release at least 2 pounds.Psi will sky rocket after a burn out.The bias ply MT's are real bad in that nature.
A slick will perform in the worst conditions vs a radial..I like to concentrate on R/T and shift points and not worry if the car will hook or not behind the tree if you catch my drift..
