I wish I didn't have to, but I'm selling my '78 Impala.
I'm in Grand Rapids, MI, and I need her gone soon. My dad's kicking her out of his garage, now that I've got my own house, and I can't keep it at my house for long.
Pros:
89k original miles
2 owners -my grandad and me
305 engine was rebuilt about 15k ago
upgraded cam (don't remember what kind)
600 Holley
just did the head gaskets, radiator, and ignition systems 4 years ago before putting it in storage.
Rear windshield is in perfect shape
full size spare
all 4 original wheel covers
OE jack
Seats are in decent shape
Paint was redone about 10 years ago, in same OE light blue color
A few spare parts, including an optional center-dash clock from another car and a Holley rebuild kit
Cons:
Passenger door window shattered when I put it in storage (no clue how). Sorta the nail in the coffin, there.
needs an upper grille
front windshield is cracked
interior carpet is a bit worn, especially under the driver's feet
Some vinyl cracking on the interior door handles
Hood insulation isn't in great shape
Paint job was cheap, so there are some chips
Some spots of rust, with only two spots gone through
I think there's a hole under the driver floor board
Needs new tires, badly.
Needs battery - won't start even with a jump, just clicking.
I think the gas tank was empty, the meter reads pretty empty, but if it wasn't empty there probably wasn't stabilizer in it.
I'm asking $2000 OBO. I honestly can't be bothered to know how much it's worth at this point, so make me an offer I can't refuse.
I'd rather it go to one of you guys who care about these cars than to somebody who'll scrap it or worse. It'll be going on craigslist, too, but I wanted to make sure it was here, too.
For pictures, here's a link to a google album. If that doesn't work, then let me know and I'll text or email them to you.

I'll miss her, but I'm hoping to find her a good home.
