what sway bars from other cars work best? i found a rear sway bar from a 96 impala ss on ebay for 25 bucks and 20 for shipping. are there any modifications required for mounting? would an impala ss front sway bar be better than the factory front on my 79 caprice?

Re: used sway bar options
If you dont already have a rear sway bar now, you will need to get new lower control arms. You can go on any gm parts website and search up part number10289786. I believe its only 53 bucks, this will give you new lca's and mouting brackets and hardware to install a sway bar. After this you can use that impala ss rear sway bar you found, or you could get a 9c1 rear sway bar part number 10207649 idk how much those are. The cool thing with that sway bar mouting bracket, it sort of boxes in the lca which also increases handling along with the sway bar. Now for the front, alot of folks like to use 2nd gen f body sway bars, thats the 70-81camaro. If you cant get one, then the impala ss is the next best thing. Or if your loaded with cash, get aftermarket swaybars. Many options!
