I was about to replace my door seals and I noticed that there is no sealant between the seal and the door?

On my Mopar cars they always used sealant these only use the plastice tabs and that's it?

Or is it a good idea to seal them with some black rtv ?

When I replaced the door seals on my first car 14 years ago, it fit and performed perfectly with no added sealer needed. It also made the doors nice and tight. I don't think you would need any extra sealer to hold them on. I also have 80s Pontiacs and none of them have sealer between the doors and rubber and do not leak.

Ok thanks I thought they did. I did seals on few Furys and they used a sealant, good saves some cash then. I can change em out in the morning I already did the trunk and used a light touch of RTV but that is different type of seal altogether.
