I've got an 84 caprice with a bad power antenna. Has anyone replaced theirs before? I been looking online for a replacement but I cant tell from the pictures if the aftermarket ones are oem style. I have not taken mine off yet so im not sure. Can anyone recommend a replacement.

Re: Power Antenna
In the past I would buy a Universal something like this (not recommending that brand just an example that looks low grade)
Generally with a full size car fitment is not a problem but check size to be sure. Possiblle to maybe use a
RM or later Impala not sure though anyone?

Worked fine in GM and Dodge for me and the wiring is simple. Those Were the Lee Auto Supply and Auto Palace specials .
(ah the good old days of in-store shopping)

Re: Power Antenna
That would work but I was looking for something that wouldn't stick out above over the fender.

Re: Power Antenna
Power antennas are tough to find an exact replacement for. Even the expensive AC Delco ones are actually cheap universal replacements packaged in an AC box, so don't disappoint yourself by buying one of them.

Re: Power Antenna
You can get the whole replacement unit at most of your local auto parts stores, its a universal unit and cost about $65, looks almost exactly the same as the original.
