I love the look of the Moser axles. They are a quality set of axles.

I didn't want to clutter up Fierro51's post so I thought I would put this in my own and hopefully someone will read it. I wanted to read all of Fierro51's build thread from start to finish but when I click on pages 1-5 there are sort of no pictures. When I click on the page I want to see the picture flashes up and then disappears. More recent pictures I can see but not older ones. Do the pictures time out on some threads? I went back to a 2015 post and could see those pictures. This may be a dumb question or am I missing something obvious.

That I understand. I did some patch on google chrome that lets me see most photobucket pictures but some may still be affected. I know you would text me any pictures I wanted to see but I thought I would read the thread.
    Thanks,
    Dave

Put the body on the frame for a minute and tested my slicks. Cut the frame for more clearance.

I ordered a new Moser rear axle with 4.11:1, spool, and 35 spline axles. I ordered the "over the counter" rear disc brake kit because it seemed like a good idea if anything needed to be replaced down the road. I wouldn't need to try and source a specialty caliper or rotor. The next pictures to follow will show how that turned out.

This is how the Right Stuff Detailing rear brake kit fit. Not only were the brackets made from steel that measured less than a quarter of an inch the pads stuck above the rotor by 5/16". This also made the caliper not clear inside of my 15" wheels. Their kit is crap, avoid it at all costs. I should have bought the fancy drag racing kit through SSBC or Wilwood. Lesson learned.

I had some 3/8" brackets cut locally and modified them to work. They are way more rigid and I had the holes cut to pull the caliper closer to the rotor. I machined the pieces that mount to the end of the axle to retain the bearing instead of the crappy spacers that came with the kit.

This is the difference in thickness between the Right Stuff Detailing bracket and the brackets I had cut out.

I put the axle in the frame. I ordered the axle 1 inch narrower an each side to try an get the tires inside the body. If you noticed the stock lower control arms I do have a set of heim joints and good tubing to make good arms.
