1978 Bel Air 4dr sedan rear coil spring replacment.

Hi there.

It has come time to replace my rear coil springs in my 78 Bel Air sedan. This car has no A/C, straight 6 engine and occasionally tows a small dirt bike trailer.

Lots of conflicting info out there but what would be a good rear coil spring pn# to use. I do believe my car was suffering the sagged out rear spring syndrome as the previous owner had installed coil over shocks to help aid in ride height.

I'd like to replace them with something that's not super stiff but I would also like to remove the coil over assist shocks.

What are my options?

I usually use Moog Cargo Control rear coil springs, P/N: CC621
it's a stock height spring that's a bit stiffer than the stock springs, and has a variable wind on the coils so that it won't sag as much as a stock spring under load. I didn't notice a difference in ride quality on my first car, but it had a polyurethane bushing kit and rode like a brick anyway.

I had 12 car batteries in my trunk for about a week before I took them to the scrap yard and I'm pretty sure this is what did in the factory rear coil springs lol.

Car leans to the left when looking at it from the rear. Fender lip to ground measurements are the same on the
front but the rear has a 1.25 inch difference.
